The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 takes mobile computing to a whole new level by integrating 12th-generation Intel CPUs, making the product more capable and efficient than its previous iterations.

Design

The appearance of the laptop resembles that of other devices in Lenovo’s budget range, featuring a subtle silver design that offers a stealthy approach. Additionally, the overall unit is lightweight enough to be easily carried from one place to another.

12th Generation Processor

The IdeaPad 3 15 comes with an Intel Core i5 1235u 12th generation Alder Lake which offers mediocre performance for the u series lineup. It comes packed with 2 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores, which come in handy for applications like photo/video production, with a package of 12 threaded for multithread Windows applications.

They are tuned to be clocked at a base clock frequency of 1.30 GHz which can reach a max clock frequency of 4.40 GHz under high-density usage through overclocking using Intel’s Turbo Boost. Whereas the remaining efficiency cores offer a max turbo frequency of 3.30 GHz and also manage the power consumption allowing a draw of 15 to 55 watts.

CPU is potent enough to support a transfer rate of 3200 MT/s for the DDR4 platform. The graphical processing for the computer is aced by the Integrated Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Functions as UHD Graphics, which comes clocked with a graphical render clock frequency of 1.20 GHz and can output a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2304 at a refresh rate of 60 Hz, through the provided HDMI port.
