Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 13^th Gen Core i5 Laptop in Pakistan

The IdeaPad series finally introduces a 2-in-1 in its domain with the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14, which follows the same footsteps as other models in the same series.  As it now features a 360-degree rotating IPS panel, with touch support, this and the other internal components are driven by the 13th Generation of Intel Processors.

Design

The chassis is a combination of Aluminum and ABS plastic for the top and bottom panels respectively, where the top is stamped by anodizing it by sandblasting. Coated in Arctic Grey makes the whole package’s appearance metallic.

13th Generation Processor

The CPU offered with the IdeaPad Flex 5 is the Intel Core i5 1335U 13th Generation Raptor Lake Processor. The unit is furnished with 2 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores combined with 12 threads, with an Intel Smart Cache of 12 MB, that enables the system to handle single-core, multi-core, and multi-threaded operations.

These performance cores are rated for a base clock frequency of 1.3 GHz, which with the help of Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology can be overclocked to a max turbo frequency of 4.6 GHz, which can be combined with a memory setup of up to LPDDR4x that can offer a memory transfer rate of 4267 MT/s which on the other side causes a power draw of 15 to 55 watts.

The absence of a discrete GPU within the system is fulfilled with the Integrated Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics, which are configured at a Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.25 GHz, and also support DirectX* Support 12.1, allowing the user to perform high-density operations without stuttering easily.

Memory and Storage

The dual-channel LPDDR4x rated at 4266 MT/s memory setup is onboard soldered which makes it establish an unerring communication with the CPU, which holds a memory capacity of 8GB.

The operating system for the product is installed in the PCIe® Gen 4.0×4 2242 NVMe® M.2 Solid State Drive, which provides neck-breaking read and write speeds, which can smoothen the overall experience. The SSD packs a capacity of 512 GB, which then can also be upgraded down the line in exchange for more storage.

Display

The main attraction of the IdeaPad Flex 5 is the 14-inch IPS Glossy panel with a display resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200, which reaches a maximum brightness of 300 nits so that one can now easily deal with extreme lighting conditions.

The panel also provides a 45% coverage of the NTSC space. It emits a Low Blue Light for eye-sight protection and also has support for multi-touch and a Lenovo Digital Pen that helps it provide a completely new dimension of interaction for professional and creative applications.

Other Specs

The device charges its 52.5 Wh integrated battery using the included 65W Round Tip (3-pin) AC Adapter.

The setup also includes an SD Card reader so that one can easily work on their photos or videos captured from cameras. USB connectivity is provided through 3 ports, out of which two are Type-A with a signaling rate of 5 Gbps and the other one is Type C, which is also Thunderbolt/USB 4 that supports a signaling rate of 40 Gbps for rapid data transfer, USB PD 3.0 for fast charging other mobile devices and DisplayPort™ 1.4 as well for display output to a supported display, just like the HDMI® 1.4b port, 1x Headphone/microphone combo jack for headphones, 1x Power connector.

The Wi-Fi® 6, 802.11ax 2×2 + BT5.2 wireless card provides impeccable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for your network surfing and connecting wireless equipment.

The high-definition (HD) Audio output is processed by the Realtek® ALC3287 codec chip which powers the dual stereo speaker setup which can output 4 watts in total, and also supports Dolby Atmos.
