Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15 AMD Ryzen 7 Laptop in Pakistan

Leading the budget segment for Lenovo, IdeaPad has always focused on offering more than what they ask for its price, whether in terms of looks or features. This iteration of Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15 is now fitted with AMD’s Zen 3-based 7000 series mobile chips.

Design

The package is wrapped in Arctic Grey color for a metallic appearance, where the chassis is adorned with IMR (In-Mold Decoration by Roller) for some grip, while its top and bottom are molded from PC-ABS Plastic, which helps make the notebook lightweight to make more portable, while also making the overall package slimmer.

AMD Ryzen 7 Laptop

The AMD Ryzen 7 7730U Octa Core Processor acts as the brains for the IdeaPad Slim 3 15, with a core count of 8 and 16 threads. It is based on AMD’s Zen 3 architecture that follows TSMC’s 7nm FinFET fabrication process. They are kept clocked at a base clock frequency of 2.0 GHz and can be overclocked to the max frequency of up to 4.5 GHz. It comes with an L1, L2, and L3 cache of 512 KB, 4 MB, and 16 MB respectively.  It follows the TSMC’s 7nm FinFET fabrication process that enables it to function with a default TDP of 15 watts.

While the Default TDP is 15 watts. The setup can handle single-core, multi-core, and multithreaded operations efficiently. The graphical operations are managed by the AMD Radeon™ Graphics which is offered with a core count of 8, which is optimized at a frequency of 2000 MHz with 2 GB of memory.  This helps the system in terms of rendering, 3d modeling, etc.

Memory and Storage

The single-channel memory setup is accommodated with 8 GB of soldered onboard DDR4 memory which offers a 3200 MT/s of transfer rate. As it is soldered, it is not upgradeable.

The storage is handled by a 512 GB PCIE Gen 4.0×4 2242 M.2 Solid that also ensures fast read and write speeds so that it can quickly load the operating system and its applications. The SSD can also be swapped with a bigger capacity module.

Display

The panel included is a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel, that displays at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Being an IPS panel it provides superior image quality than TN, wide viewing angles, and faster response times, and this one in particular is capable of achieving a max brightness of 300 nits.

Battery

The integrated battery, with a capacity of 47 Wh, provides the juice to the system in the mobile state, which is then recharged using the 65W Round Tip (3-pin) AC Adapter.

Keyboard and Trackpad

It is packed with a buttonless Mylar® surfaced multi-touch touchpad, that is capable of Precision Touch, and is also fully clickable located on top of the LED Non-Backlit, English (UK), full-size keyboard, that assists with typing in darker environments.
